Four of the ‘super seeds’ – sunflower, pumpkin, linseed and sesame seeds. Called the ‘super seeds’ for good reason as they are full of essential vitamins and minerals including the Bs, E and minerals like magnesium.

High in fibre too, they really are little marvels! Try sprinkling on breakfast cereals, or mixed into a leafy salad for extra crunch and flavour.

Dried fruits are very popular for many reasons. Eating dried fruit is associated with improved health and provides many of the essential minerals, vitamins, phytonutrients and fibre that you need every day. Dried fruit doesn’t spoil quickly and is an easy snack to pack, especially for outdoor activities like hiking. It is certainly a much healthier and more nutritious snack than crisps or other processed junk foods.

Nut & Seed Butters

We lightly roast our nuts & seeds to improve their flavour then pass them through our cool milling process to produce our range of deliciously tasting nut & seed butters. This is all done by us in our kitchen here in Ludlow in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. We do not add any other ingredients – no preservatives, sweeteners or oils, we leave you to do that, if you so wish.

Cereal & Grains

Some current diet books say you should abandon wheat or gluten to lose weight, but we should all be eating cereal daily, and at least half of those should be whole grains. Unless you have celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or another reason to cut back, you don’t want to miss out on the health benefits of whole grains. You’re getting fibre, a healthy plant-based protein, vitamins, minerals, and a variety of phytochemicals that will improve your health. Whole grains can cut the risk of stroke, heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

Vegetarian Food

Almost all of our products are suitable for vegetarians, but some of our confectionery items contain an animal based ingredient in the shellac coating. See under the product description for more information.

Gluten Free Food

All natural nuts, dried fruits & seeds are gluten free and in addition we make great tasting gluten free options in our granola, muesli & porridge mixes

Our nut butters, including peanut butter and almond butter are gluten free and free from any artificial preservatives & colourings and have no added sugar & no added salt.

About Us

We are Helen and Bob and we set up the Ludlow Nut Company in 2004.

Escaping from city and corporate life is a dream for so many people, and that’s exactly what we did nearly ten years ago. We upped sticks from London and moved to the medieval market town of Ludlow in Shropshire.

We share a lifelong love of food and cooking so Ludlow appealed because it has a phenomenal food buzz, thanks to its numerous specialist food shops, artisan food producers, a twice-monthly farmers’ market and the renowned Ludlow Food and Drink Festival. It has every style of dining you could wish for, from casual, bistro style to Michelin-starred.
