Customer service seems a bit wishy-washy, though it does appear typically they try their best to resolve any issue as quickly as possible.

Buying cannabis seeds online can be frustrating to say the least…
Poor quality seeds, missing packages and unresponsive customer service is far too common.
Just check out any grower forum and you’ll see what I mean.
Some seed banks seem as though they just don’t care!
I’ve rated each seed bank out of 10 based on several key criteria (explained below ) and included a seed bank FAQs section at the end to answer some of the most commonly asked questions about purchasing seeds online.
What to look for in a good seed bank…
When looking for a good seed bank, there are several key criteria that you should to look out for.

IMPORTANT: My top 3 tips when choosing a seed bank and buying seeds online
I’ve purchase A LOT of seeds online and have gone through many of the frustrations most growers have (missing seeds, crap customer service, non germinating seeds)
Here are my top tips to having a stress free experience buying from an online seed bank:
1. Only ever buy feminized seeds. I can’t stress this enough. They might be a little more expensive than normal seeds but they’re worth it because you get less duds and therefore won’t spend as much time germinating or waiting for new seeds to be delivered.
2. Shipping times seem to be the number one gripe among growers buying seeds online. That’s because most of the good seed banks are in the EU and most of the growers are in the US or Canada. If shipping speed is important to you and you live in the USA, buy from a Canadian seed bank, not one in Europe. You might not use the best seed bank, but you will get your seeds faster.
3. I always like to choose a seed bank that has solid customer service. ALL seed banks will sometimes send seeds that don’t germinate, ALL seed banks will sometimes have slightly delayed shipping. When these things inevitably happen, it’s nice to know the customer service is there to take care of you.
4. Whatever Seedbank you choose, try to order a relatively small amount of seeds first to test out how the seedbank performs in terms of shipping and germination rates.
Ok, with that said, here are my detailed reviews of the top 10 seed banks:
Best Seed Banks To Order from Online
#1 – Seedsman
Seedsman is my number one pick when it comes to online seed banks, and the best EU seed bank by far.
This hugely popular seed bank offers one of the biggest selections of strains online (over 4,000! ) and their seeds have some of the lowest prices I could find online.
To add to their low prices, they also have loads of amazing promotions that can dramatically reduce the cost of your order.
The only negative about Seedsman is that their customer service could be a little better. Customer support is something that large businesses always seem to struggle with. When I called their phone number I got an automated service (Argh…) However, they replied to my email within 24 hours so they still manage to take top spot, just.
If you’re looking for high quality customer service and don’t mind paying a little more for it, then my second pick might be a better option for you.

#2 – I Love Growing Marijuana (ILGM)
I Love Growing Marijuana is run by Robert Bergman, a veteran grower with over 25 years of growing experience.
These guys might not have the largest collection ( around 80 different strains) but they do have some very high quality strains and awesome customer service.
Shipping is free for US, Canadian and European orders and delivered in just 10 to 15 days on average.
They guarantee delivery, and will re-ship your seeds if your order doesn’t arrive or gets seized.
In the event that your seeds do not germinate, they will be happy to replace them for free – nice!
ILGM’s website is super easy to use and can be viewed in English, Spanish, French or Dutch. Every strain on their site has lots of customer reviews and well laid out info about genetics.
They also have an active forum with helpful topics for beginners.
Check out my full review of ILGM here
#3 – Growers Choice Seeds
Growers Choice Seeds comes highly rated from several popular online forums and offers a variety of seeds suitable for every cannabis consumer.
One thing I appreciate about Growers Choice Seeds is their commitment to their products. According to their site, if 90 percent of your seeds do not germinate, they will send a replacement order.
Based on reviews from popular cannabis forums, they back this guarantee and are more than willing to work with you should you be unsatisfied with your order.
All orders are packaged to be as discreet as possible. Most of the time seeds are left in their original, air-tight packaging. However, in some cases seeds are removed from their packaging to ensure a safe and secure delivery. Additionally, orders outside the U.S. can receive special “stealth packaging” at no extra charge.
Depending on where you’re shipping your package, you can expect to receive your goodies within 7-25 business days. Most customers report being very satisfied with the shipping speed of their order.
Additionally, every order is given a tracking number so you can keep a close eye on your order from the moment it leaves the warehouse until it reaches your doorstep.

#4 – MSNL Seeds
MSNL is another well-established Seedbank that has been around since 1999.
Their refined strains are extremely high quality and raved about in the cannabis community.
They also offer a great selection of low cost value packs which are perfect for trying different seeds without spending lots of money.
In general, they tend to be a little more expensive than seedsman and have a smaller selection of strains. They also do not accept Bitcoin.
Check out my full review of MSNL here.
#5- Sensi Seeds
Sensi Seeds is one of the biggest names in the cannabis seed industry. They have won numerous Cannabis Cup awards and are a renowned brand worldwide.
Though their prices are a bit higher than other seed banks, you know you are getting some of the best genetics in the world when purchasing from Sensi Seeds.
Most reviews for Sensi Seeds are positive, though some report being unsatisfied with the quality of their seeds or not receiving their order.
Customer service seems a bit wishy-washy, though it does appear typically they try their best to resolve any issue as quickly as possible.
Every order is packaged in a discreet, unmarked envelope. There are no logos or advertising present on the packaging, making it virtually impossible to tell what is inside.
If you are lucky enough to live within the shipping range for Sensi Seeds, you can expect to receive your order within 2-10 business days from the date your payment is processed, depending on which shipping option you chose.
Check out my full review of Sensi Seeds here.
#6 – Crop King Seeds
Crop King Seeds has been in the game for almost 15 years, steadily climbing their way to the top.
Nowadays, they have made quite a name for themselves and you can find the “King” in a multitude of physical and online storefronts.
While offering a slightly smaller seed collection in comparison with other top seed banks, Crop King Seeds does have an advantage in that they only offer their own personally cultivated strains.
Crop King Seeds have just launched a new website and it is really well laid out and you can use various filters to easily search for a strain perfect for you. Plus, they offer a section devoted to teaching customers how to successfully germinate their new seeds.
According to reviews on popular online forums, customers either love the “King” or hate him. From what I’ve read, customer service seems a bit quick to point fingers at the customer rather than own up to any mistake on their end. However, for every negative review there are three that swear by this company for all of their cannabis seed needs.
All orders are shipped in special packaging designed to maintain freshness and be as discreet as possible. Only orders shipped within Canada will be packaged in authentic Crop King Seeds packaging. Seeds shipped to all other countries will come packaged in various other items, to maintain privacy.
Shipping speeds range from 2-7 business days for orders shipped within Canada, and up to two weeks for international orders.
Check out my full review of Crop King Seeds here.
#7 – Gorilla Seed Bank
Though relatively new to the game, the founders of Gorilla Seed Bank have more than 40 years of combined experience in the cannabis industry.
While they don’t have the biggest seed selection out there, Gorilla does offer seeds from some of the most reputable brands.
They also offer competitively low prices on nearly all of their products, something I always take into consideration when purchasing.
The main issue customers report have been small errors with processing payments or seed viability. However, it’s clear that customer service is the number one priority for this company, as nearly all reviews on popular online forums also report any issues being resolved promptly and adequately.
Depending on where the order is being sent, shipping times can vary from 1-24 business days. Most orders shipped within the UK will be received within 7 business days.
TIP: There are always a wide variety of seed promotions going on and freebie offers. The only downside is the minimum purchase amount is a bit higher than other sites I’ve browsed. I recommend checking the promotions page and considering making one or two bigger purchases, rather than multiple smaller ones, in order to take advantage of these awesome deals
#8 – Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds (AMS)
Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds has been in the cannabis game for 25 years with no sign of slowing down.
Their time in the industry definitely shows in their intuitive and user-friendly website.
Subscribe and you’ll get a free growing guide.
With the Netherland’s top breeders, you can expect fantastic seed and strain quality.
Their packaging is crush-proof and made to look like regular mail. You may not even recognize your package.
Conversely, being shipped straight from Amsterdam will mean relatively higher prices.
Fortunately, the shipping price may be offset by both their affordable seed options and combo packages.
Check out my full review of Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds here.
#9 – True North Seed Bank – Not recommended anymore
True North Seed Bank is a fairly new seed supplier based in Toronto, Canada.
They have a large selection of strains and some very nice discounts and promotions.
If you’re a US or Canadian customer, shipping is very fast with orders arriving in an average of 5-14 days.
Although I had no major issues with my order (8/10 feminized seeds germinated) customer feedback on TNSB seems to be quite polarised, and it seems to me that their slightly subpar customer service is the reason for this negative feedback. All seed banks have issues with seeds and shipping, but it’s how you deal with those issues that sets some seed banks apart.
#10 – Attitude Seed Bank
Attitude is a very popular seed bank based out of the UK.
They reportedly have some of the best genetics worldwide and offer thousands of seeds from more than 200 brands.
Most reviews from popular online forums are positive, though some mention orders being seized by customs.
Most of these customers however, did not pay for discreet shipping, which is something I always suggest.
Another common issue customers report is the quality of seeds can vary greatly.
Because Attitude sells a variety of seeds from numerous brands, it makes sense the lesser known brands may have lower quality products. This is why I always recommend buying seeds from already established and reputable brands.
One thing I always appreciate is saving a little extra money.
Attitude always has a wide variety of promotions running so be sure to take a look before placing your order to ensure you get your money’s worth!
Shipping speeds vary based on where the package is being sent.
International orders are typically received between 7 to 10 business days, though can take up to 21 business days.
TIP: Every order over £40 comes with various “freebies” (which is great to up the “discreet factor” of your package)
What payment methods can I use?
Most good seed banks offer a number of different ways to pay for your seeds:
Most seed banks take payment with debit or credit cards without any problem.
However, placing an order with standard bank cards can sometimes have issues if don’t usually order items from abroad using that card.
This might make other payment methods more appealing.
Personally, I use a credit card, which offers better protection than a stand card when buying online.
I’ve never had an issue ordering seeds online with my credit card.
Bitcoin is anonymous, safe and secure.
It’s therefore perfect for this type of transaction and the method of payment that most seed banks prefer.
Many seed banks offer incentives to purchase your seeds with Bitcoin.
Paying with cash means that there will be no record of the transaction on your bank account.
However, most seedbanks will appear very discretely on your bank statement anyway, and sending cash in the post is risky.
It’s very rare for a seed company to offer a Paypal as a payment option.
This is because Paypal strictly prohibits cannabis seed sales (get with the times PayPal! )
Online Seed banks get blocked from accepting payments once Paypal discovers what they are selling.
A standard direct transfer from your bank account to the seed banks account.
A bank transfer usually avoids any fuss with your credit card or bank card being blocked for suspicious activity.
It’s fast and secure and many Seed Banks recommend that you use this method
Anoutdated method of payment, but many seedbanks offer this option.
It’s fairly secure but takes a long time to process.
There’s definitely better ways to pay.
What is the best method of payment?
The absolute best method of payment to use with a seed bank is probably Bitcoin.
It only takes a few minutes to set up and means that all of your transactions are 100% anonymous, safe and secure.
Many seedbanks offer big discounts for payments made with bitcoin, so this is definitely something you should consider.
If like me you don’t fancy setting up Bitcoin, then use a standard credit card is the next best option.
Why are there no good US Seedbanks?
The current situation in the US is that although it’s usually safe to buy /order seeds online, it’s very risky for the seed bank sell them or send them from one state to another due to the different laws in each state.
This is the reason why it’s hard to find a long-established seed bank in the country.
Hopefully this will change in the near future.
All of the seed banks listed in this article will ship to the USA and Canada
What will happen if customs open my package?
Current customs laws in America indicates that if your seed package from abroad does get caught in the mail, you will not be put on any “list”.
Instead, the U.S. customs agents will simply toss the seeds and send you what’s left of the package.
They also send an official letter letting you know that your seeds were confiscated.
If this happens to you, simply contact the seed bank with evidence and they will gladly give you a replacement package.
Important disclaimer: Please note that this is not intended as legal advice
Do I need an account to purchase seeds?
No, most seed banks will allow you to complete checkout as a guest without having to register an account with them.
It’s my first grow, which strain should I choose?
Firstly, congratulations on deciding to grow – you’re going to love it!
For your first grow, I would recommend choosing a strain that’s known for it’s “easy to grow” characteristics.
Northern lights is a very popular strain that is exceptionally resilient to many common issues that affect cannabis plants while growing.
They also grow short and have a low odor, which can be beneficial for a number of reasons.
Purchasing cannabis seeds online can seem a little daunting at first.
However, buying from a well-respected and reliable seed bank should ease any fears that you have.
The seed banks listed in this article will take good care of you and ensure that you receive your seeds and that you are 100% happy.
Let me know what your favorite seed bank is in the comments below or if you’ve had any bad experiences!

I wouldn’t touch True North. Add on costs for card processing, more money to send by stealth, more money for guaranteed delivery which means you can get the same strains cheaper every where else. To top it off their customer service is shocking. Rarely respond to e-mails and even had one of their team tell me that they work remotely from them and they struggle to get answers from the management too.
Hey James! Thanks for the feedback on True North. When I contacted True North they replied pretty quickly, but maybe they aren’t very consistent. I have to admit, my current go-to seed banks at the moment are ILGM and Seedsman!
I Agree the Seedsman does have a good customer service which is Key from buying from any seed bank that goes for all businesses big and small good customer service always should come first before anything else, but it is also very easy to call the Seedsman from the states. So I see The Vault didn’t make your list, probably because they only started taking credit cards again after they moved to Spain but their main office is in the UK they also have comprehensive Grows about 4-5 times a year if you’re a member of Grasscity, RIU or 420magazine for some growers who may not have money to purchase seeds for whatever the situation maybe, but they will send you a pack of 5 autos and a T-shirt and seeds are usually from a Top Breeder like Dutch Passions which is side by side almost with Sensi Seeds which aren’t as Good as they once where, but still one of the Best for having Good genetics. Also I see who didn’t make the list is Nirvana with one of there flag ship strains Aurora indicia F1’s. I don’t Grow feminized seeds and a lot of old skool growers and master growers you will never grow femmed strains for their lack of stability, but I have grown in the past femmed strains with always Good results I just think Regs is where’s it’s at! Also Bodhi seeds or Great Lake genetics who have by far has the most Keepers and some of the best genetics out of any seed bank Imo! But for newer growers the Seedsman is probably the Best to deal with because of there Good freebies but The Vault seed bank has the most breeders out of any Bank out there and they also don’t Breed but Have a Lotta 100% free promotions and like mentioned sign up on Grasscity if you want free seeds when they do their comprehensive grows! Good article and agree on 95% of what you said.
Hey James, I tried to connect to True North as well as ILGM & my computer stopped me because they both had Malware attached. So everyone be careful. I can’t believe since Canada is legal that the price of seeds has sky rocked! Just plain crazy!
Hey ? Oh that’s very strange. I just checked the links and they seem to be working OK for me with no warnings. Is this happening for anyone else? There may be a short term increase in Canadian seed prices but with more and more states and countries legalising it should lead to more competition between the seed bank, which will mean lower prices in the long run!
True North Seed Bank Is ripping customers off and getting them red flagged at customs. I tried to get this resolved and have been ignored by TNSB Management. I’ve been sending this message around that TNSB ignores!
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with True North Seed Bank David ? Seed banks can be really hit and miss. For some people they receive their seeds no problem and others encounter big delays. I would always recommending ordering a small quantity of seeds from the seed banks on this list to see which ones work best for you. I’m a big fan of Seedsmand and ILGM. Seedsman has a better selection but ILGM has better customer support.
True North is nothing short of being a rip-off. Never have I had such problems with obtaining seeds. Do yourselves a favour and stay away from this dispensary.
I just ordered from Dr.Seeds where prices are far less. Shipping time and quality will follow.
Once again, stay far away from True North.
hello what about Dinafem seed Bank the side looks good the reviews are also postive and they even give sometimes somethig away ))
yes stay away from True North. i recently made an order for bubba kush humboldt.these come in a wooden block and the seeds are in a tube with a spot of glue on the side. my block was empty. customer serice made it good the same day i called but i will not take a chance with them again.

Attitude Seeds Review 2019
Attitude Seeds bills itself as “the world’s largest cannabis seeds superstore”, and although it’s impossible to access the exact numbers to confirm it, the Attitude seed bank does seem to offer an incredibly large variety of merchandise.
One quick look at their website confirms it – Attitude Seeds stocks seeds from almost every major breeder as well as apparel and accessories. One thing that they don’t seem to sell is growing materials and equipment (read on for the legal reason behind that), so you’ll have to look elsewhere for those things. This massive seed reseller based in the United Kingdom sources seeds from all over the world and ships them that far, too.
Attitude Seed Company History
Unfortunately, very little information is available regarding the history and origin of Attitude Seeds. Many seed banks have a page dedicated to telling the story of how they came to be in this business, but this one doesn’t seem to. For now it will remain a mystery!
Attitude Seeds Reputation
Attitude Seeds is a mixed bag when it comes to reputation. There are some customers who swear by them and others who have had one too many bad experiences and swear them off completely. When you search online, you’ll find someone praising the company in one Attitude seeds review and another customer warning others away in a different review, so who can you trust? Why is there such a sharp divide in opinion?
Well, a lot of the variation in customer satisfaction is likely due to the varying quality of the products that they stock at the Attitude Seed Bank. Since they sell just about everything, there are bound to be some bad products in the bunch. If you don’t do your research first and find out which strains are worth your while and which are total duds, it can be hard to know what exactly you’re getting when you buy from Attitude Seeds. This likely accounts for the wild variances in Attitude Seed Bank reviews.
Attitude Seed Selection
As of 2019, Attitude Seed Bank offers literally thousands of different strains from a huge variety of breeders, including quite a few Cannabis Cup winners. They do sell all types of seeds – those from reputable breeders and those from relatively-unknown brands. It’s not that all of the lesser-known brands offer bad products, but you do need to be careful when buying from seed breeders without an established good reputation.
Here’s a list of just some of the brands that Attitude Seed Bank stocks: Ace Seeds, Barney’s Farm, Big Buddha, DNA Genetics, Dinafem, Dutch Passion, Nirvana Seeds, Paradise Seeds, Royal Queen Seeds, Sensi Seeds, Serious Seeds, G13 Labs, Delicious Seeds, CBD Crew, And so many more! The complete list is quite extensive and rest assured, you could spend days just browsing through all the strains that are available on this website.
With so many different strains available from all different breeders, it’s impossible to judge overall quality. This will vary wildly from brand to brand. If you have a trusted breeder that you love, you should find that buying their seeds through Attitude Seed Bank gives you the quality of product that you’re used to.
However, Attitude Seeds seems to have the attitude that more seeds is always better, so they don’t really curate their selection with any type of quality-control standards. Rather than sorting the wheat from the chaff and offering only the best, most high-quality seeds in their shop, Attitude sells anything that they can get their hands on and leaves it to the buyers to sort out which seeds are high quality and which will be disappointing. They sell everything from top-of-the-line luxury seeds to bottom-of -the-barrel bargain bin beans. Because of this, it’s not recommended to buy from Attitude Seeds without a clear knowledge of what you’re getting. Sure, it may be fun at first to browse their pages upon pages of different strains and add random things to your basket, but if you don’t know anything about the brands that you’re buying from, you may wind up with a lot of duds.
You can find great stuff at Attitude Seeds if you know where to look, but if you’re just going in blind, you’re going to be overwhelmed and likely buy some bad seeds. It’s a good idea to always go in with a shopping list of strains from brands you trust and search specifically for those brands. If you’re not sure which brands are good, check out our reviews of the best seed banks, all of which have been updated for 2019.

Customer service at the Attitude Seed Bank can be reached in a variety of ways. You can call them up at 01473 724 698 for UK customers, or use either of their two international phone lines at 0044 1473 724 698 or 011 44 1473 724 698. You can also send them an email at [email protected] or [email protected], depending on your reason for contact. Or, instead of direct email, you could fill out the contact form on their Contact Us page with your name, your email address, and a description of the issue that you are experiencing. If none of those options work for you, you can even send them snail mail to their physical address (available on their contact page).
All times above are listed in BST. This is also when you can expect them to respond to your email or contact form submission. They aim to respond to all queries promptly within 24 business hours. The customer service team is generally friendly and helpful, though when it comes to certain issues with seed quality and germination issues, there is not much that they can do to help you. They will pretty much only be able to assist with issues like these if your seeds were damaged in transit and you can prove as much with photos. If you have an issue like low germination rates or bad genetics, they will more than likely tell you that it’s a problem for the seed breeder and they won’t be able to do anything for you. This is why customers are warned to be careful about which breeders they buy from in the Attitude Seeds shop! Attitude Seed Bank takes very little responsibility for the quality of the products they stock, so buyer beware.
One other thing is that Attitude Seed Bank officially sells cannabis seeds only as souvenirs in 2019 and fully expects customers who buy their products to keep them in storage in their ungerminated state in case of law changes in the future. Because of this, refuse to been seen as promoting germination in any way (such as by listing germination rates on their product pages or by selling additional growing supplies). This also means that they can’t answer your questions about germination issues directly. If you contact customer service asking for germination or cultivation advice, you may find that the email or phone call goes unanswered or totally ignored.
Attitude Seeds Shopping Experience
The shopping experience at Attitude Seed Bank can be quite overwhelming. As of 2019, they have over 2,000 different strains in stock from tons of different breeders. This is no place for a beginner who wants to do a bit of casual seed-browsing. When you shop at Attitude Seed Bank, it’s best to have a very clear idea of what you’re looking for before you dive in – or at least know which breeders you want to buy from.
The sheer selection isn’t the only thing that makes the website shopping experience feel a bit overwhelming, however. As soon as you arrive on the homepage, you’re greeted by an onslaught of bright colors, scrolling information bars, flashing promotional boxes, pictures, countdowns, and other doodads that strain both your eyes and your computer’s processing power. There is a lot going on on the Attitude Seed Bank landing page, to say the least.
Even once you get past the homepage, though, the sensory overload doesn’t let up. There are several scrolling informational banners that follow you wherever you go on the site, and on each product page there are more pictures and colored tags with complicated fonts. Not to mention the fact that at the bottom of every single page is a huge box with a lengthy list of each breeder they stock at Attitude Seed Bank.
Every page is extremely cluttered and feels like it’s stuffed way too full of information and images. Browsing around this website casually seems like a real nightmare. It’s recommended for new customers to simply stick to the search bar.
Attitude Seeds Promotions, Discount Codes, and Free Seeds
The Attitude Seed Bank does offer promotions and free seeds, which definitely sets it apart from many of its competitors. However, as mentioned above, its website is so overcrowded that it may take a moment (and a deep breath) to collect yourself and find the promotions in order to take advantage of them.
Once your eyes settle down from the visual overload, you’ll note that there is a Promotions section at the top of the website. There, you’ll find various seed promotions depending on what brands you throw in your cart. In addition to this, Attitude Seeds gives away free seeds with each order.
For promotions on an easy-to-navigate massive selection of seeds that ship worldwide, most savvy cannabis consumers prefer MSNL’s Special Offers and Promotions page.
