Mango Skunk

5 Marijuana seeds

The specs

Low Medium High

The sun is setting over a lovely little palm tree that casts a cool shadow over you as you dig your feet deeper into the warm sand. You taste the ocean air as you sip your intoxicating pina colada and fall into complete tranquility. You might not actually be at the beach, but you sure will feel like you’re living in a tropical paradise after trying our Mango Skunk.

Mango marijuana strains came into creation in the early 60’s and were a fast favorite amongst those that like high THC (easily reaches 15% and up) and the uplifting active high that comes with it. We took a Mango clone and crossbred her with a Venus Flytrap that balances the sweet nature of pure Mango strains with an earthy cinnamon undertone that creates a full-body rich flavor.

She has a fantastic flowering time of only 9-11 weeks and is a provider of delicious crystally nugs. This combined with a brilliant flavor and aroma make her popular in dispensaries.

Our tip for this strain: She has one tricky aspect about her and that is her height. Usually her height favors her indica side, but there is one phenotype that decides to take after her sativa side and blow up in height. Make sure you have the space and good knowledge of plant training techniques for this plant just in case.

What we love about this strain: Often with very fruity strains you get complaints about them being too sweet and with no dankness whatsoever. The Mango Skunk’s father just slightly mellows out her sugary-sweetness with a nice full-body dankness that creates a deliciously creamy flavor.

Quote from a customer: “Championship friends, just no words to describe how [sic] special taste of mangos, you did something special, Nirvana Thank you . ” – Moshe A.

I had 15 dif strains going from Nirvana. I started them directly in Miracle grow soil in 6″ pots. The plan was to have some monster plants this year so I started them early Feb 1st in my 10’/10’shed with 600 watt LED’s. It was the perfect growing conditions cuz I had 100% germination. It was a cold bitch outside but I was able to keep the temps at 72-76 degrees with just an electric milk house heater on low. By Mid March I had a hundred 8″ gorgeous plants that were getting root bound and I was forced to prematurely plant outside. It was a warm California spring and these plants grew like they were hell bent. Then they started flowering and there was no stopping them. The Mango Skunks got about 3′ and 4′ bushes and just blew me away with the amount of sticky stinky large buds on them. No shit I got almost 5 pounds from all these dif strains. The Mango Skunk are some of my favs. Nice aroma and very potent. I actually cut most of the buds off bout mid & late May and June and left the plants growing and was stoked to see them re vegging and by July they were getting large & gorgeous again. My now estranged sister was pissed off cuz I wudnt let her and her 35 yr old thieving tweaker son and Pitt Bull move in, this psycho bitch called the cops on me. I was giving them all the free weed they cud smoke cuz I had plenty from the year b4. I chopped some & I dug the others up with root balls intact and gave them to a few buddies. I only got a warning from the cops, they were actually nice and told me to grow indoors. The new plan is to start plants early next year and get a nice harvest again by May and June b4 more potential shit comes down. I will also convert a back patio to a grow room and take off the metal roof and add siding to be compliant with the law. Mango Skunk is an awesome choice, heavy yields, but it’s too dam potent for me and I can only handle 3-4 hits and I get an intense head and body buzz, trying to stay awake after 10 PM is futile and I experience some deep ass sleeping and fully alert in the morn. I also have some White Widow Auto’s starting soon for an indoor winter grow and hope to harvest by January. So even despite a few setbacks, growing weed is really fun and rewarding. Great hobby, I’m 68 yrs old. Let’s grow, Rando

The cream of my crop. Again it got over 13 feet high and gave me over 10 pounds. Great producer and so sweet tasting. It relaxes me. I only grow outdoors in New Mexico. I never mess with them. I water and feed and nature does the rest. Nothing beats God’s sunshine. I find growing pot very easy. If you can grow tomatoes you can grow pot.

What can I say.. I’m ready 2 tango with this Mango! This wz my 1st run with Mango Skunk & it damn sure won’t be my last. Nirvana delivered on time as always. 2 out 5 seeds germinated 4 me successfully. Fresh out the gate she vegged wonderfully. Good strong stalks & big leaves. I topped her about 4 times. Nirvanas description is right. She did gain a great deal of height during flowering. She stretched out a lil bit further than what I had expected but it wznt an issue 4 me. She towered at about 5ft. I grew her in a 3 gallons DWC. She took to nutes very well without any issues. I flowered her in between weeks. She had so much sugary trichomes. She wz amazing. The smell wz musty & strong but not 2 over powering. Yes she had her fruity aroma that captivated me on top of the Skunky smell. I dried her out for a week & been curing her 4 over 2 months now. The smell & buds are fantastic. She still stinks strong. I can smell her thru my cabinets doors inside of mason jars. I have my 2nd seed in rotation now & just cloned that. They keep coming back for more. I haven’t really smoked it yet. The times that I did smoke it’s has been good 2 me.

Yields 14 to 17 oz per 3x3ft

THC levels for this strain of marijuana are generally moderate. However, this is still one potent Kush. It’s very popular and comes highly recommended by dispensaries as a medical marijuana strain. That’s because it acts as a tranquilizer, allowing you to relax and feel happier. Plus, its medicinal properties help to free you from your worries and physical aches.

Mango Kush Strain Origin

Mango Kush is a mysterious strain simply because its exact history is unknown. But, according to experts, it may be a cross between Mango indica and Hindu Kush. This energizing hybrid is a great representation of the Kush lineage.

This strain is an indica dominant hybrid. It is 65% indica and 35% sativa and has a THC level of 11-20% (average 16%) and a CBD level of .30%.

Mango Kush is one of the fast-growing marijuana strains as far as weed popularity is concerned. It is very popular on the west coast in cities such as Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles. But you’ll also find it in other cities such as Detroit and Aurora, Colorado.

Mango Kush has gained a lot of popularity in the medical field globally as a medical cannabis strain. It is readily available in the cannabis market for purchase, including some coffee shops and most dispensaries.

Growing Mango Kush Feminized Seeds

These are feminized seeds. Female plants, contrary to male plants, are the ones that actually produce weed. They start flowering when they receive less light per day, i.e. in the Fall or when you manipulate the light cycle indoors.

We advise also reading our germination instructions for guaranteed results.

Mango Kush Plants

Interested in growing your own marijuana? Well, Mango Kush is a simple strain to cultivate. So, if you’re new to cultivating cannabis, this is the strain for you.

Like the Hindu Kush strain, Mango Kush buds are bushy and dense, which makes them produce high yields in small spaces. This is especially true when methods such as Sea of Green (SOG) are incorporated.

Mango Kush is well known for its large buds. However, pruning this herb is important for ensuring that the cannabis plant stays healthy. This is because pruning and trimming ensure airflow and maintains the shape of the herb.

The Best Climate For Mango Kush

Unlike the Banana Kush strain, Mango Kush can be grown indoors as well as outside. The plant will do well indoors, provided the required humidity is kept constant. It is also easy to cultivate mango kush indoors.

Mango Kush does well when grown in temperatures between 65 and 80 Fahrenheit. This plant is able to withstand cold night temperatures but performs very poorly when it comes in contact with rainfall, especially during the flowering period.

Feeding Mango Kush

Visit our nutrient section to get the right plant food for every grow stage.

We recommend giving your plants:

Flowering & Yield

If all conditions are at optimum levels, the plant can produce a high yield of about 14 ounces per square meter. Outdoors, this type of kush prefers a warm climate with adequate sunlight. While outside, this plant produces a high yield of about 16 ounces per plant.

It takes around 9 weeks for mango kush to flower and adequately produce a high yield. Best of all, growing this strain is considered moderate, so it can be easily grown by newbie growers.

Experiencing The Mango Kush Strain

Mango Kush is one of the best strains of marijuana in terms of effects. This strain, once smoked or taken other ways, has an effect that makes the user very happy. Its pungent, fruity, mango smoke is a laughing gas. It induces giggle fits that leave the user smiling and ready for good and pleasant moments. It also makes you very talkative and sociable.

This strain also has a relaxing effect and is very ideal for dealing with stress and depression. As a hybrid, it also has an effect of inducing a state of euphoria. Due to this effect, this is the right cannabis strain for an evening after a long day of hard work. Mango Kush uplifts and embraces a user in a warm and fuzzy way.

Mango Kush has a few mild adverse effects. Many of these effects don’t last for long and can be prevented or minimized to a certain degree. One of the main effects is dryness of the mouth and eyes. This is mainly caused by dehydration. It is a good idea to drink plenty of water while enjoying this strain.

This strain may also cause dizziness, which may lead to a slight headache. Users may experience some feelings of paranoia, especially if taken in large quantities.

Mango Kush Taste & Smell

The hybrid known as Mango Kush delivers a sweet, fruity flavor that reminds you of. you guessed it. mangos. You’ll enjoy the sweet, piney flavor that sneaks up on you with each toke. Prepare to taste its tropical fruity flavors on your lips. Its aftertaste comes with sweet, earthiness, which helps to enhance its pleasant euphoria.

Mango Kush has grown to become a popular strain of cannabis due to its incredible fragrance. With each puff, you’ll fill the room with the aroma of pungent earthiness and sweet fruits. And, of course, keeping with its name, you’ll also smell a whiff of mangoes in the air. The fragrant aroma lasts for a while, delivering an awesome smoking experience.

Uses for Mango Kush

Mango Kush has a lot of medicinal value. It is recommended as medical cannabis for patients regularly. This strain is very useful for chronic disorders as well and is well known to treat symptoms related to:
