During the growth of Karibbean Mango / Karibeña we’ll be able to see the first sativa genes that blunt providing vigorous growth and which can reach 3 meters in height. Its internodal distances are fairly short, a feature provided by the Afghan genetics.

Karibbean Mango / Karibeña

Karibbean Mango / Karibeña from the seedbank Kannabi is a new cannabis strain created by this Spanish bank, a crossing between Mango Skunk and the relentless marijuana Black Domina.

The result obtained after the crossing is a high quality cannabis plant able to combine the best traits of both genetics, creating a portentous marijuana plant with indica character along with small traces of sativa, being a stable and balanced hybrid.

Its stems and branches are thick and sturdy, ideal to support the weight of the buds in bloom. Its leaves are large and broad of dark green color, being transmitted by its ancestor Back Domina.

Bloom of Karibbean Mango / Karibeña from Kannabia

During the flowering period we’ll find a productive marijuana plant, creating long columns of dense, bulky and compact buds. Its flowers, for its indoor growing, will be ready for harvest in about 65 days of flowering with a production of 450 gr/m2.

Growing it outdoors, it can be harvested in mid October with high production that may vary depending on the size of the harvested plant exceeding 450 grams per plant.

In a nutritional level, we’ll find a voracious marijuana plant that will need a lot of nutrients in all stages of cultivation both growth and flowering where buds will become rocky and covered by a thick layer of resin, ideal for extractions of hash or BHO.

As for its organoleptic properties, we can detect different aromas from both predecessors. Generally it has a sweet taste with traces of fresh citrus fruit with acid touches along with an aftertaste of cypress that seamlessly blends to the palate, creating a dense and pleasant smoke that will awake the senses.

Karibbean Mango a.k.a. Karibeña was developed by crossing a Mango Skunk base with Black Domina. The sweetness of Mango Skunk was great but Kannabia aimed at creating a strain that has a lot more to offer. This led to the decision to cross it with Black Domina – one of the most influential Spanish strains of today. Karibbean Mango produces indoor yields of up to 480g/m² in 65 days of flowering.

Kannabia – Karibbean Mango: Sugary sweetness of tropical fruit

Karibbean Mango was developed by the Spanish breeders of Kannabia. They began with selecting a Mango Skunk characterized by a unique sweetness and then decided to cross in Black Domina to achieve improvements regarding yields, bud size, and resin production. Kannabia thought that just having tropical aromas would not be sufficient for a variety that aims to be superior to the large variety of exotic-tasting strains that already exist. Black Domina was definitely the solution, and gave Karibbean Mango all the features it needed to be fully convincing.

This strain is indica-dominant (75%) and mainly based on Afghan genetics and Mango. Karibbean Mango develops rather spongy, elongated flowers that demand constant fertilization to grow into enormous dimensions. The buds’ density will greatly increase as harvest day approaches, resulting in added weight and indoor yields of up to 480g/m². The indoor flowering time is 65 days.

Karibbean Mango has remarkably sweet flavours that remind of ripe, tropical fruit. It’s a delicious blend of sugary and slightly acidic tones, together with bitter nuances, and a fresh citrus influence that is more pronounced in some phenotypes than others. Aromas strongly remind of tangy fruit with an alluring scent of cypress. The effects of Karibbean Mango are unique and surprisingly strong. One has to remember that a quarter of the genetic make-up is on the Sativa side, delivering an almost narcotic Black Domina buzz with more complexity and a more uplifting turn.

Karibbean Mango will be the ideal sunshine smoke, with tropical flavours and strong effects. It might leave smokers surprised by its outstanding aroma profile. When growers, very understandingly so, desire flavours of tropical fruit, there’s basically no way around Karibbean Mango – the exotic beauty with Black Domina genetics.
