Perfect for: Cannabis experts looking for marijuana seeds with sublime organoleptic properties.

The arrival of the Diesel line to the international cannabis market marked the beginning of a new era and the entry ticket to an unexplored territory. In the States, the Diesel lineage is already a legend and so one of the most requested genetics ever. Why? Mainly because this strain showcases many unusual features that distinguish her from the rest, such as her distinctive aroma of Diesel fuel.

Against this background, we felt the urge to include this special strain into our catalogue of Dinafem Seeds. For doing so, our breeders crossed a Mexican Sativa with an Afghani, and, after a long breeding process, we could present a Sativa-dominant (60%) feminised cannabis seed that is sure to amaze thrill-seeking marijuana growers. Extraordinary aromas and tastes that, together with a highly stimulating but balanced Sativa effect, are going to make a splash!

Morphology

Diesel is a rather big marijuana plant with an open and branchy pine-shaped structure. Her jagged and elongated leaves present a beautiful light-green colouring, and her buds are large, elongated, dense and resinous. Diesel usually gives way to very homogeneous plants, which is great news because it makes the growing process much easier.

Yield

Diesel is a heavy-yielder delivering crops to meet all expectations. In fact, this heavy-producer can provide up to 475 g/m 2 indoors and some 950 g/plant outdoors. The unique perfume she gives off once the crop’s been harvested is simply amazing, making us feel as if we were in a real petrol station. A not-to-be-missed experience!

Aromas and flavours

Diesel showcases an array of intense flavours and aromas that will awaken all your senses. Initially, it’s mainly a petrol-like scent, very sweet and complex, but later on, once she reaches the taste buds, hints of tangerine, lemon, lime and exotic fruits emerge, all topped off with a lingering diesel aftertaste. An unusual experience everyone should try at least once!

Effects

Diesel contains THC levels around 12-16% and low CBD content. Her effect is Sativa-like but really gentle and bearable, obviously affecting more the head than the body. In fact, it will never be like the typical smashing ‘high’ Sativa genetics deliver. The cerebrally stimulating and euphoric sensation turns into a nice feeling of relaxation as time passes by. Once you try her, you won’t be able to forget her!

Cultivation

Diesel grows vigorously and copes well with moisture as well as with diseases; two important features that make her a safe bet. Another factor in her favour is her short flowering: 60-70 days indoors, and by mid-October outdoors. Despite her ability to adapt to any type of situation, where she does feel at ease and show her full potential is in dry and temperate climates. However, if you’re cultivating indoors, using SOG or SCROG is the best way to make the most out of her. We cannot either fail to mention that anti-odour filters are essential during the flowering phase.

Seeds of Diesel Duff are not available for sale online, forcing perspective growers to seek out clippings from existing plants that can be propagated as clones. The hybrid can be grown indoors or outdoors in a semi-humid, Mediterranean-like climate. While best practices for growing this specific strain are not widely available, the strain’s piecey buds suggest that its plants grow tall and wispy and may need some pruning early on. Diesel Duff’s plants flower within 9 to 10 weeks.

About Diesel Duff

Diesel Duff is a powerful hybrid with a buzzy sativa energy. Although this strain is descended from the legendarily pungent Sour Diesel, it has more of a sweet flavor profile. Fans of Diesel Duff praise its long-lasting mental stimulation, which can be fun whether the strain is enjoyed in a solo or a social context. Its moderate THC content has been measured at between 12% and 17%.

Diesel Duff’s flowers are marked by a small to medium size and a chunky, irregular shape. These nuggets have a piecey, open structure that leans more sativa than indica, with ragged-looking leaves. The leaves themselves are a vivid spring green and are threaded through with curly orange and yellow hairs (which are actually botanical reproductive structures called pistils). Finally, a dusting of crystalline trichomes makes these flowers appear slightly dewy and makes them very sticky to the touch.

When properly cured, Diesel Duff’s flowers give off a clean and crisp floral aroma. A second inspection reveals some very sweet, almost rank and fermented scents as well. Grinding up the buds, meanwhile, gives off the unmistakable tang of skunk. When combusted in a pipe or a joint, Diesel Duff burns with a very smooth smoke. This smoke tastes sweet and herbal on the exhale and can have some surprising notes of lavender.

Like many other predominantly sativa strains, Diesel Duff begins to flex its effects soon after it’s toked. Consumers may feel some initial twingy, head-focused sensations like a pulsing in the temples or some flushing in the cheeks. As the odd tics subside, though, they’re replaced by an elevated mindset in which ideas may occur to the user more frequently or may take on a new kind of gravity. Some smokers may also find themselves grouping concepts into abstract categories or jumping from one topic to the next in free association. This sort of cerebral energy can be a fun way to add some excitement to otherwise mundane chores like doing a load of laundry. Diesel Duff may also offer users a jolt of energy, helping them find the motivation to go to the gym or to get a quick jog in.

These stimulating properties tend to persist as the high progresses, leaving smokers unburdened by a heavy body high. Instead, Diesel Duff’s upbeat, the goal-oriented mood is better spent on active pursuits like working on a creative project or going on a nature walk. Additionally, this bud’s tendency to speed up thoughts and lower inhibitions can make it a great tool for encouraging conversation and camaraderie in social settings. While its heady feeling of mindrace can prove overwhelming in an improperly relaxed set and setting, in an appropriate context, Diesel Duff can set the stage for anything from dancing to gaming to sitting around and contemplating the mysteries of the universe. Because it tends to keep its consumers more animated than subdued, Diesel Duff is a good choice for daytime (and even wake-and-bake) consumption.

Diesel Duff’s effects can also have several uses for medical cannabis patients. It early sense of mental focus can help those with attention deficit disorders to stay focused on a single task. The bud’s gentle feeling of euphoria can also help to temporarily take the edge off of some cases of stress or depression. On the physical end of the spectrum, Diesel Duff can help to soothe pain, whether it’s due to a chronic condition like lupus or is simply temporary, as due to injury. Anti-inflammatory properties, meanwhile, may take the sting out of common afflictions like headaches. Because of its cerebral and potentially obsessive patterns of thinking, Diesel Duff is not a good option for patients who are prone to panic or who have a low THC tolerance.

A great all-purpose strain for sativa fans, Diesel Duff is worth snatching up if spotted in dispensaries. Its dank and complex flavor is icing on the cake.
